Accessibility
Poupa is working towards WCAG 2.2 level AA, and this page sets out what is already in place and what still falls short.
The standard we follow
The stated target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA. Accessibility is treated as a build requirement rather than a later fix.
As this is a demonstration build, conformance has not yet been externally audited.
Already in place
- Full keyboard operation, including listing filters and the brand cabinet.
- A visible focus indicator and a predictable tab order.
- Text alternatives for product images and for paid-placement labels.
- Semantic structure with ordered headings, landmark regions and real lists.
- Text contrast checked against the minimum level AA ratios.
Known shortfalls
- Some merchant-supplied images carry price text that screen readers cannot read.
- Price comparison tables are hard to navigate on narrow screens.
- Third-party embedded content may not follow the same rules.
- Not every form error message is announced immediately.
Reporting a barrier
Barriers can be reported through the site's contact form, naming the page, what you were trying to do and the assistive technology in use. Every report gets a reply and, once confirmed, is logged as a priority fix.
If an obstacle blocks access to a listing, the equivalent information is supplied by another means on request.
