How we verify prices

A verified price is one confirmed on the shop's page before publication and re-checked during the day.

What a verified price means

Before publication, the submitted price is compared with the price shown on the shop's page. If the two do not match, the offer is not published.

Verification also covers the reference price, which must match a price charged before the discount.

Re-checks during the day

Published offers are re-checked periodically through the day, to catch price changes, stock running out, and offers that have ended.

When the price changes

  • Price has risen: the offer is updated or withdrawn.
  • Offer has ended: it is marked expired and leaves the active listings.
  • Product out of stock: the offer is suspended until it returns.
  • Repeated mismatches from one shop: later submissions are reviewed more closely.

Limits of verification

Checks happen at particular moments, not continuously. A price can change between two checks, so the figure shown at the shop always takes precedence.
